Hey Melissa! Questions for you. I love the Ivoire color in the pictures because it has a soft, happy yellowish to it. But, when I look at the actual color in the color deck, it doesn't appear like it does on the wall. Any thoughts? Also, what made you pick Toque White as opposed to a more pure white? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Brenda! The Ivoire looks much more tan in the paint chip than it does on my walls. It's really just a lesson in doing a test patch on your walls before making the leap. I liked the Toque White because it is very similar to the previous color we had which is a slightly gray-white. Not quite as glaring as bright white. I have never done bright white although my kitchen cabinets are pretty close to bright white. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHi There, Love the house! I have a guest bath that I need to transform and I was wondering where you found that vanity in your guest bath? Thanks so much.

Hi Melissa,
ReplyDeletewhere did you get the 2 wall mounted sconces that flank your master bed? are they hard wired?
Thanks!
The lamps are from Home Depot a while ago but I am sure you can find something similar. They are hardwired now but were not in our old master (just plugged in).
ReplyDeleteGreat Blog, just found you through YHL and subscribed for email updates. I noticed you have the Pottery Barn Winter Poppy Duvet at the foot of your master bed. I'm desperately trying to track down a king size in it so if it happens to be a king and you ever want to sell it please let me know!
ReplyDelete@Autumn - It is a king and I will! Try searching ebay but without the name of the comforter. Most people don't know the names of the prints!
ReplyDeletewhat's the name of the cararra on the master bath floor? I'm looking thru the Tile Store site and haven't seen anything that has that same color palette (love love love the gold/tan/grey mix).
ReplyDeleteThe tile was just called carrera basket weave when we bought it two years ago. BUT, it did not look like this on the website or in the showroom. It was a little bit beige in the showroom but not nearly as multi-colored as what we ended up getting. Sorry! We really did want carrera but then when I saw this I was in love!
ReplyDeleteYou can look at some other marble options to see if there is something that might guarantee you something closer to this look.
thanks melissa. i think i'll have to print a good color copy and take it with me to the showrooms out here (Washington state).
ReplyDeleteYour home is just lovely Melissa! It has so much charm and character. It looks like the perfect place to raise a family. I'm a new follower. Looking forward to getting to know you!
ReplyDeleteDo you know the information on the laundry room shade? Love it!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI actually made the laundry room shade - http://houseography.blogspot.com/2011/05/easy-fake-roman-shade.html
ReplyDeleteSo glad you like it!
Hello, Melissa! Where did you get the bedding in your basement guest suite? Love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat's your exterior trim color? How did you choose it?
ReplyDeleteExterior trim is color-matched to our window color - Andersen Sandtone.
ReplyDeleteCute kitchen! What color grout did you use for the subway tile backsplash?
ReplyDeleteoops one more question...what kind of tile is on your fireplace surround and where did you purchase it? btw thanks for sharing your home with us..it's definitely an inspiration for me.
